Solar Eclipse Glasses – User Instructions & Safety Information

⚠️ Safety Information

Never look directly at the Sun without certified solar eye protection.

Looking at the Sun without proper protection can cause permanent eye damage or blindness.

Please read all instructions before using these solar eclipse glasses.

  • Use these glasses only for viewing the Sun or a solar eclipse.
  • Do not use with binoculars, telescopes, cameras, or any other optical devices.
  • Adult supervision is recommended for children ages 3–14.
  • Not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to small parts.
  • This product is not a toy.

Pre-Use Inspection

Before every use, carefully inspect your eclipse glasses.

✔ Check for scratches, holes, tears, wrinkles, or any damage to the solar filters.

✔ Ensure both filters are securely attached to the frame.

✔ Hold the glasses up to a bright indoor light. No ordinary light should be visible through the filters except the Sun or similarly bright light sources.

Do NOT use the glasses if:

  • The filters are damaged.
  • The filters are loose.
  • Light leaks through damaged areas.

If any damage is found, discard the glasses immediately and replace them with a new pair.

How to Use

  1. Put the eclipse glasses on before looking toward the Sun.
  2. Keep the glasses on while viewing the Sun.
  3. Turn completely away from the Sun before removing the glasses.
  4. Take regular breaks. Do not continuously observe the Sun for more than 3 minutes at a time.
  5. Wear eclipse glasses whenever any portion of the Sun remains visible, including during partial phases of a solar eclipse.

Care, Storage & Cleaning

To maximize the life of your eclipse glasses:

  • Store in a protective sleeve or case to prevent scratches.
  • Keep in a cool, dry place between -10°C and +60°C (14°F to 140°F).
  • Clean only with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth.
  • Do not use water, solvents, alcohol, or chemical cleaners.

Product Lifespan

These solar eclipse glasses have a maximum recommended service life of 3 years from the date of manufacture, provided they remain undamaged.

Replace the glasses immediately if the filters become scratched, punctured, torn, creased, or otherwise damaged.
